Clyde Butcher's property in Big Cypress became a sanctuary for me, and been a great source of inspiration for me. I drew the pond in the morning, and when I returned from the property in the late afternoon, a great number of birds had taken up residence I still go as often as I can. Loose Screw pond, with it's resident gators and birds has. I combined the experiences to create this reduction woodcut.
