I spend time in the Everglades every year after Coconut Grove. I especially love Big Cypress. Kirby Storter Boardwalk is on the Tamiami trail past the Oasis Visitor Center. A crew was doing a controlled burn nearby, but I secured permission to set up a table in the parking area, and draw the scene directly onto the linoleum. I began carving this incredibly complex reduction linocut back at the studio, and added the panther for good measure.
